Client story · Cumberland Nepean Softball Association
From a whiteboard at the grounds to live scores on every phone.
Cumberland Nepean Softball Association runs community softball and teeball across 14 diamonds in Sydney’s west. NXT Innings built Cumberland Live, the association’s match-day platform: the season draw, live scores, official ladders, umpire duties and streamed games, in one place, run by the association itself.

Where match day used to live
Like most community sport, CNSA ran on effort and goodwill. The draw sat in the registration system, results were collected by hand, and today’s games lived on a whiteboard at the grounds. If you were not standing in front of it, you did not know.
That is not a complaint about the volunteers. It is what happens when a growing association runs on tools that were never built for it: a whiteboard, spreadsheets and memory. Families who could not get to the diamond had no way to follow a game live.
What we built
Cumberland Live is one platform behind one address. Everything below is in production and in use through the 2026/27 season. You can click through all of it on the live site.
Live scores from the diamond
Team scorers enter the score on their phone at the diamond, the other team confirms it, and the public scores board updates for everyone. Scorer codes are emailed straight to team officials, round by round.
The whole season’s draw
Every fixture for the season in date and time order, with the grade, the diamond and the club on duty against each game. Filter by round, club or grade, or print it for the clubhouse wall. 576 games, one link.
A TV board instead of a whiteboard
A day board built for the TV at the grounds: today’s games by time slot with club logos, updating automatically and scaling to whatever screen it is shown on.
Streaming with the score on screen
Camera units at the diamond stream games to the association’s YouTube channel with the live score and club logos overlaid on the vision. When a game goes on air, it appears on the public watch page.
Official ladders, one tap away
A standings page in the site’s main navigation carries the official ladder for every grade, kept up to date through the season, one tap from the draw and the scores board.
Umpires and duty, sorted
Umpires set their availability online, allocations are published with the draw, and the duty board shows each club what it owes on the day.
Safety built in, not bolted on
Teams with players who have asked not to be photographed or streamed are flagged on the public draw, so cameras know before the game starts.
Works on the phone in the kit bag
Built and tested down to older iPhones, because a scores site only works if it works for every parent at the fence.
The live site, as it runs today

What changed
- Scores are public the moment they are confirmed, from any phone, anywhere.
- The draw, results, ladders, duties and streams live at one address instead of four places.
- Games are streamed with the score on screen, so family who cannot be at the diamond can still watch.
- Scorer codes reach team officials by email, not by chasing people at the canteen.
- The association runs it all itself through a permissioned admin area.

An honest note on this one
Cumberland Live is a volunteer build. Heath volunteers with CNSA, and NXT Innings built the platform for the association at no charge. So there is no invoice behind this page, and no invented return-on-investment figure either.
What there is: a real production system, live every playing night of the season. We would rather show you a working system you can click around tonight than a claim you cannot check.
Got a whiteboard that should be a system?
If your business, club or association runs on spreadsheets, a whiteboard and one person’s memory, we can build the system that replaces them. Tell us what you are juggling and we will give you a call. No pitch deck, just a chat about what you need.
Prefer to talk now? Call Heath on 0401 194 600.
Prefer email? Use the contact page.
Ask for a callback
A name and a number is all we need. We will do the rest on the call.
